Menopause Consultation
At the hoc, we provide expert medical care and advice to women on their journey from peri-menopause through to menopause and thereafter.
The clinic is led by Consultant Gynaecologist Dr Hugh O’ Connor, kind & caring, who has extensive experience in all aspects of menopause care including: perimenopause, post menopause, surgical menopause, complex menopause, premature & early menopause.
Your initial appointment, will be up to 30 minutes with Dr. Hugh O’ Connor. At this consultation, your medical history, reproductive history, symptoms and your treatment options will be discussed. The time interval for a review consultation will be recommended by the doctor; it can typically occur 3-12 month from initial consultation.
Initial Consult: €350 up to 30 mins ( bloods included if recommended)
Review Consult: €250 up to 30 mins
Consultation Fees are be redeemable under & in accordance with the terms of your insurance policy.
Treatments Tailored to You

There are two main types of HRT, eastrogen & combination therapy (eastrogen & progesterone) . Each type of HRT and the form thereof will be discussed and recommended.

Non-hormonal treatments, including supplements, are an option for those that cannot or choose not to take HRT or those that want a non hormonal medical option.

Complimentary therapies include the Emsella Chair & the Emfemme. The Emsella is designed to strengthen the pelvic floor. The Emfemme is designed to rejuvenate the vagina & labia.

Surgical treatments include hysterectomies and repairs performed by Consultant Dr Hugh O' Connor.

Medical recommendations on how to manage perimenopausal or menopausal weight gain.

As hormone levels drop, skin can become dry, slack & thin. The Hoc runs an aesthetics clinic to help rejuvenate skin to a youthful appearance.

Perimenopause refers to the time during which your body makes the natural transition to menopause, marking the end of the reproductive years. Women start perimenopause at different ages. You may notice signs of progression toward menopause, such as menstrual irregularity, sometime in your 40s. But some women notice changes as early as their mid-30s. Symptoms become more marked over time. A woman is considered to be in menopause when she has had a full year without a natural period.
